A little about the story
The boys of the Band, who live at the foot of Bob's Hill in a New England village, decide to become Boy Scouts. They learn to hike, camp, track and help others, while having plenty of fun and adventure in the hills and woods.
Charles Pierce Burton wrote a cheerful, realistic story narrated by one of the boys, full of village life and the early days of American scouting.
