A little about the story
Stan Wilson and his pal O'Malley are hoping for a rest in Alexandria when a special task sends them to Italy instead. They are to help an anti-Fascist general behind German lines, and the job leads them onto a beach-head, aboard a prison ship and in front of a firing squad.
Full of air battles, daring escapes and O'Malley's boundless appetite for blueberry pie, it is a wartime adventure written for young readers while the Italian campaign was still under way.
