A little about the story

In July 1914, just before the outbreak of war, young Frank Forester is travelling through the hills of Armenia. When Turkey joins the war on Germany's side, Frank finds himself cut off in hostile country, hunted by troops and forced to live on his wits.

His long, dangerous journey takes him towards the Dardanelles, where the Allies are about to launch the Gallipoli campaign. Written while that campaign was still being fought, it is a vivid adventure with a determined, honourable hero.
