A little about the story
Ralph Fairbanks is a hard-working boy at Stanley Junction who is determined to become a railroad man. He starts in the roundhouse, where the engines are serviced, and has to stand up to bullies like Ike Slump and the men who want to see him fail.
There are accidents, plots and plenty of hands-on railroad work, and Ralph's honesty and courage start him on the way up. The first of Allen Chapman's Railroad series.
