A little about the story
Charley Russell has built his own wireless set in his father's workshop, and his skill earns him a summer job with the forest fire patrol in the mountain forests. With his friend Lew, he watches for smoke, explores the woods and learns the work of a forester.
When fire breaks out, the boys' wireless becomes vital. Lewis E. Theiss wrote practical, well-researched adventures, and this one is full of forestry and radio know-how.
