A little about the story
Earl and Randy can't pay the rent on their timber land, and the lumber company they depended on has collapsed. Then a letter arrives from the West, with news of gold in Alaska.
The brothers join the rush to the Yukon, braving ice-filled rivers, freezing winters, claim jumpers and rivals. Edward Stratemeyer wrote it while the Klondike gold rush was still in the news.
