A little about the story
Edwin and his brother come out to New Zealand, where the bush is lovelier and stranger than any English wood. Life on the frontier soon tests their courage: they get lost in the mountain gorges, meet Māori chiefs and have to rely on each other when things go badly wrong.
Eleanor Stredder wrote this as a story about brotherly loyalty and quiet bravery, set against the beauty of the New Zealand bush.
