Shoulder to Shoulder

A little about the story

Writing in a wigwam thirty years after his grandfather's death, a young man tells the old soldier's story. It is the tale of a Scottish Highland lad who joins the army in the stirring days of the wars against Napoleon, fighting with Sir John Moore and his men.

Gordon Stables, a Royal Navy surgeon turned writer, packs it with battles, loyalty and hard marches, and with his love of the Highlands.
