A little about the story
Bobby is a little Skye terrier in 1850s Edinburgh. When his master, Auld Jock, dies, Bobby refuses to leave his grave in Greyfriars Kirkyard, and for fourteen years he keeps watch, befriended by the children, the caretaker and the townspeople.
Eleanor Atkinson's novel tells the story of the real dog whose loyalty made him a legend. His statue still stands in Edinburgh.
