A little about the story
Poems written in the voice of a child in rural Kentucky: watching the sky, playing under the tree, picnics, visitors and the small wonders of country life.
Elizabeth Madox Roberts, later a famous novelist, wrote these with a remarkable ear for a child's way of seeing.
Things You May Not Know About Under the Tree

- Published by B. W. Huebsch in 1922.
