A little about the story
A short Christmas play for children, in which the curtain opens on a rooftop, just as Mother Goose promised, and then on the room beneath it on Christmas Eve. Santa's arrival down the chimney brings fancy, fun and a few good old Christmas customs.
Shepherd Knapp, a minister in Worcester, Massachusetts, wanted a play that felt like real life with plenty of imagination in it, and the stage directions are written cheerfully for the children who read them.
