A little about the story
You may know the fable of the grasshopper who fiddled all summer and had nowhere to go when winter came. This is what happened next. Shivering Grasshopper Green finds kind friends among the meadow mice, and a world of fairies, music and good company.
John Rae wrote and illustrated this little picture book as a gentle reply to Aesop, and it is a lovely read-aloud story about kindness for small children.
