A little about the story

Short plays for children to act, adapted from Aesop's fables and old folk tales: The Wolf and the Lamb, The Shepherd-Boy Who Called Wolf, The Blind Men and the Elephant, Lazy Kate, The Proud Ring-Finger and many more.

Augusta Stevenson was a teacher in the Indianapolis schools, and she wrote these plays so that pupils could learn to read with expression by acting out the parts. They are quick, funny and easy to stage in a classroom or living room.
