A little about the story
Short comic stories about the boys of St. Austin's, a public school where French lessons are something between a pantomime and a rugby scrum, and the ingenious Charteris is always up to something.
These were among P. G. Wodehouse's first published stories, written for boys' magazines long before Jeeves and Wooster. His wit is already unmistakable.
