A little about the story
Little Benjamin Franklin pays too much for a whistle, and learns a lesson he never forgets. William Makepeace Thayer tells the story of Franklin's boyhood and youth as a printer's apprentice in Boston and Philadelphia, and how hard work and good sense made him one of America's greatest men.
A classic of 19th-century inspirational biography.
