A little about the story
Fiona lives with her father, the Student, in a little grey house on a sea-loch in the Isle of Mist. When she is given the gift of the search, she sets out to find a treasure, and meets a haunted cave, an oread, the King of the Woodcock and a mysterious urchin.
W. W. Tarn, a famous historian of ancient Greece, wrote this delicate fairy tale for his daughter, set in the misty landscapes of Skye.
